Hi everybody. Well, today I had the final "set up" appointment for my radiation treatment. They clamped my Jason Voorhees mask a little tighter to the table this time which made it a little more freaky and it lasted like 20 min. which seemed like 1 hour. Having your head clamped to a table while people are just going about their every day business is crazy but they gave me music this time so it totally ruled!!! They said I could bring my own music in but I don't think they know what they'd be in for. I think I'll just let them listen to their oldies so they don't screw it up, ya know?
So the treatments will be starting on Mon. March 7th along with the chemo. It will be 5 days a week for 6 weeks for a total of 30 treatments. They said I don't have to worry about losing my hair but obviously they aren't paying too close attention because that sheit started falling out years ago :)
I'm supposed to be able to start driving again soon and go back to work next month so that will be awesome. I'm really getting tired of Steve Wilcos and Maury and Judge Judy ect. I thought it would be awesome to kick it at home and do nothing but I was very, very wrong. So I'm totally looking forward to getting back on track......get back to where I once belonged.
Thanks for all of the support and prayers and blog comments. I'm a lucky guy to have so much love and support out there. Love ya all, Brian
Brian and Buttah...please know that we are here to support you in anyway that we can! We love you both so much! Sending lots of prayers and good thoughts your way! xoxo Brent and Christy (aka OBG)
ReplyDeleteBrian, I'm hoping you can keep seeing the lighter side things on your journey through torture tables, old folks music and better living through chemistry. That will be cool when you get to be mobile again and go back to work. (Like I should be commenting about it being good to go back to work.) Hugs to you and Darcie, and lots of good & happy thoughts.

Thanks for keeping us updated! Today will go great and for sure be a strange experience to tell about! We love you both! Love, Jeremy, Stacey and Cheyenne
ReplyDeleteBrian,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update - it all sounds pretty promising. I don't understand how you can be over Judge Judy though. Seriously? She's such a bitch and I can't get enough of her. Steve Wilko I can totally pass on though, and I do. Soudns like you're feeling good, and you looked great last weekend when we saw you. If you need anyting, make sure to holla. Love you.
